Veterans Appreciation Concert

RSVP of Central Kansas will host its first-ever Veterans Appreciation Concert Friday, Nov. 10. The event will take place at 7 p.m. in the Great Bend City Auditorium, 1214 Stone St. "Area veterans, active service men and women and the general public are invited to attend this free concert," said Kandi Wolf, volunteer coordinator for RSVP/Volunteers in Action and event coordinator. Golden Plains Quilts of Valor will be featured along with several local musicians and performers. RSVP is sponsored by Barton Community College and a partner agency of the United Way. It works to help keep seniors active in the community through volunteering, as well as helping to partner volunteers with several local agencies.
