Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: Great Bend Transload Facility

You're invited to join us for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Great Bend Transload Facility located at the Great Bend Industrial Park.

The event will take place Thursday, June 29th at 11:00 a.m.

Transloading is the process of moving goods from one mode of transportation to another, or in this case, from truck to rail and rail to truck. By blending the benefits of shipping by rail and local/short haul trucking, a transload facility can provide more flexible, cost-effective solutions for customers who may not have local access to freight rail service or those who need expanded warehousing.

Great Bend was selected for the transload facility last year by the Transload Facility Site Analysis Selection Committee, which includes public and private sector representatives.
