Home for the Holidays Parade & All Day Activities

Sunflower Diversified Services invites you to celebrate the holidays in Great Bend at the 2014 Home for the Holidays Parade. This year's theme is "Santa's Workshop" and will feature a variety of floats on the 1/2 mile parade route down Main Street from 19th to 12th Street.

Before the parade, be sure to register for the Explore Great Bend Shopping Spree giveaway and taste cookie samples at participating retailers for the Great Bend Cookie Contest. There will be lots of shopping and exploring opportunities! Check out the Model Train exhibit from 2-8 p.m. and get your picture taken in the nativity scene from 4:30-7:30 p.m.

Following the parade, activities will be available in Jack Kilby Square:

AFTER THE TREE LIGHTING -
Free Ice Skating until 9:30 p.m.
Horse Drawn Carriage Rides until 8 p.m.
Free Train Rides
Free Hot Dogs, Hot Chocolate, Funnel Cakes
Living Nativity Portraits until 7:30 p.m.
Visits with Santa until 9:30 p.m.
