Great Bend Tribune 150 Year Celebration

Join the Great Bend Tribune as we celebrate 150 years of serving our community!
The Great Bend Tribune, the oldest continuous business in Barton County, invites the community to a 150th Anniversary Celebration on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in front of the Tribune office at 2012 Forest Avenue.
Forest Avenue will be closed for the event, with tents and seating available for guests to relax and enjoy an evening of food, fellowship, and community pride. A complimentary meal of hot dogs, baked beans, potato chips, and sugar cookies will be served, along with iced tea, lemonade, and Arnold Palmers.
Guests can also enjoy giveaways and register for prize drawings throughout the evening.
Come celebrate 150 years of local journalism and community service with the Great Bend Tribune. We look forward to sharing this milestone with the community that has supported us for a century and a half!
