On Monday, February 21th, the Barton County Historical Society will host Angela Bates, Executive Director of the Nicodemus National Historic Site, who will give her program, “Children of the Promised Land.” Her presentation explores the unique experience of mothers and their children in Nicodemus, some of whom were the first members of their families born free.
