Barton Planetarium Event: 7 p.m., Barton Planetarium; “Telescopes.” This show will explain how telescopes work and how to choose a good telescope for your own backyard. Learn about different types and sizes of telescopes that help astronomers unravel the mysteries of the universe. As part of the show, (weather permitting) attendees will get to take a few telescopes out and look at the wonders of the night skies. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
