The Barton County chapter of "100 People Who Care" will hold their next giving meeting on Tuesday, August 1st at 5:30 p.m. in the Best Western Angus Inn Courtyard, 2920 10th Street in Great Bend.
Registration opens at 5 p.m. and the meeting begins promptly at 5:30 p.m. Three charities, who were nominated at last quarter's meeting, will have 5 minutes to speak and 5 minutes to answer questions. Once all three charities have presented, the members will vote and then hear from last quarter's winning charity, Almost Home Inc., while the votes are being tallied. At the end of the meeting, the winner is announced and all members write a check for $100 directly to the winning charity. Because the group has more than 100 members, the 1-hour giving meeting effectively raises over $10,000 - making a BIG impact with a SMALL time commitment!
The three charities invited to present at this quarter's meeting are:
Camp Hope Heartland
Family Crisis Center
Healing Hearts Ranch
Anyone interested in learning more or getting involved is encouraged to visit www.100bartoncounty.org. There is no fee to join, other than the pledge for attendance and donating to the charities four times per year. You can also follow the group on Facebook. New members are welcome to join at any meeting! Join us!
